Why Realtist Week is Vital for the Tampa Bay Community

While Realtist Week is a national observance, its impact is deeply personal for the Tampa Bay area for three critical reasons:

• Honoring Our Origin Story: Tampa is the birthplace of NAREB. In 1947, when Black professionals were excluded from the industry, they met here to demand a seat at the table. Celebrating Realtist Week in Tampa is more than a professional gathering; it is a homecoming and a tribute to the local pioneers who changed the face of American real estate.

• Addressing the Modern Wealth Gap: Homeownership remains the primary vehicle for building generational wealth in America. In the Tampa Bay region, disparities in mortgage approval rates and homeownership levels persist. Realtist Week provides local residents with direct access to experts and resources like the Community Impact Day, specifically designed to dismantle these barriers.  Onsite pre qualifications by over 10 lenders for those starting the Homeownership journey.
